Cairns

In Cairns we met up with Anne's friend Danny (who worked at Scratchley's, but finished right before I started) and his sister Kelly, who lives there as a scuba/snorkel instructor.  Best life.  They were amazing and we had a lot of fun exploring around Cairns with them.  We also went out with her crew for a dive to the Great Barrier Reef.  We got really lucky with the weather in Cairns, right before and after we left there were crazy storms.  Cairns is very tropical so even when it rained it was extremely hot/muggy.  Taran especially loved it there.  The night life was quite fun as well.  After Cairns we went back to stay and Anne's Aunt and Uncle's house in the Gold Coast for 2 nights.  We had a typical Australian barbie the last night, which Taran loved because they literally cook every type of meat.  From there we parted from Anne :( and flew to New Zealand.  End of an era.
