As we know I was in Australia for 7 months last year (Sept-March 2011-2012). I worked at Scratchley's seafood restaurant with the lovely Anne for 5 months, laying-low, saving up money and going on gorgeous, long walks every day. I already blogged a bit about that though. I've slacked on the last 2 months, however, which were full of adventure and travel and therefore much more interesting things to blog about (je pense). So, here goes. Our adventure started Feb 1st and ended on the 7th of March. Afterwards, I went to New Zealand for 2 weeks with my parents and brother, but I'll save that for another post.
February 2 - leave Sydney 7:10h, arrive Perth 9:10h
February 8 - leave Perth 12:45h, arrive Denpasar (Bali) 16:25h
February 14 - leave Denpasar 22:50h, arrive Darwin 3:05h. leave Darwin 7:30h, arrive Melbourne 13:20h
February 17 - leave Melbourne 8:15h, arrive Hobart 9:30h
February 22 - leave Hobart 19:35h, arrive Sydney 21:20h
February 27 - drive Sydney to Gold Coast
March 1 - leave Gold coast 8:05h, arrive Cairns 10:35h
March 5 - leave Cairns 11:05h, arrive Gold Coast 13:20h
I should have done this sooner because my memory is awful, oops, but I believe we went down to Sydney by train on the 1st and stayed with Anne's friend Josh for the night. We went out for dinner and then we went to bed relatively early so we could be up early to catch our flight at 7:10am to Perth.
